The locked ECU in the new Focus ST (built post April 2024 with new digital cluster) was CRACKED by HP tuners. (not official info, no official announcement, i got the info from the engineer working on it at HP tuners)
protocol will be available in a few weeks for tuning providers.
i decided to go with Laird Performance from the UK
i've already Pre-Ordered the HP tuners RTD device from the Laird (355 ps Stage 1) .. very excited !!!
for those who like Mountune, i think it will also be available by Mountune since they're now cooperating with HP tuners.
i chose Laird because their tune is not general, they do data log and fine-tune the mapping for each car individually.. Remotely!

This tool is for the MG1CS036 ECU, which is the ECU of the Mustang s650, which was unlocked 2 months ago by HP tuners
The ECU in our focus is the MG1CS017.
HP Tuners has unlocked it, but they haven't mapped the protocol yet, e.i. the unlock is not yet available for tuners to create a tuning map.
My info from the vehicle engineer at HP tuners: all Ford ECUs are now cracked, protocols for rach ECU/Vehicle will be available soon, acc. To the prio at HPtuners.
He told me he can do it in 1 day for the focus, but he has more prio things to do, maybe will do it in a month or something.. our conversation is 2 weeks ago...
I would say, the protocol for our ST will be ready in 2 to 4 weeks

Für den Ford Focus ST nach April 2024 ist die gesperrte ECU wohl kein Hindernis mehr, soll heißen „Zugriff“ möglich.
